It started the way most good ideas do — with a problem nobody else was solving. Our founders spent years loving the look and feel of designer pieces, and just as many years wishing they cost less. In 2023, they decided to stop wishing and start building. Urban Brooks is what came out of that.
Urban Brooks started with a simple frustration: loving designer style but never quite being able to justify the price tag. Our founders — a couple who'd spent years admiring quality pieces from the outside — decided to build the thing they wished existed: clothing and footwear with the same fit, fabric, and construction people pay a premium for, at a price that doesn't require a splurge mentality.
That's still the mission today — pieces that hold up to a full week, not just a photo.
What We Focus On
We keep the range tight on purpose: linen and cotton shirts, compression basics, and everyday footwear, chosen because they're the pieces people actually reach for on repeat. Rather than chasing every trend, we'd rather get a smaller set of essentials right — good fabric, a fit that works across body types, and construction that survives more than a few washes.
How We Work
Urban Brooks partners with manufacturing and fulfillment partners who specialize in the categories we sell, so each piece goes through people who actually know linen, knit, and footwear construction — not a single factory trying to do everything. We check in regularly on quality and consistency rather than treating a supplier relationship as "set and forget." We operate out of Brooklyn and Staten Island, working with those partners to keep quality and turnaround consistent.
Product Accuracy
What you see is what you get: our product photos and descriptions are meant to reflect the actual item, not an idealized version of it. Screen colors can vary slightly device to device, and we note that where it matters, but we don't stage or alter product photography to misrepresent fit or fabric.
